Meet the Photographer

Hi, I'm Giselle Brosnahan

I'm a professional portrait photographer based in Tauranga, New Zealand.  I'm passionate about photographing people, businesses and families.  I love to create striking portraits that will stand the test of time and which you will be proud to share.

You might think you're not photogenic or hate having your photo taken, but I help people feel confident and natural in front of the camera so you will be excited to show up online.

For many years, I worked in the corporate world and saw firsthand how those who put themselves forward earned promotions, while others, especially women, held back from self-promotion. I’m passionate about empowering people to shine and get noticed, giving them the confidence to present themselves in the best light.

My work has won several Portrait Masters awards, has been published in magazines and exhibited in museums in London.

I'd love to chat about you and the photographs you would like so please drop me a line.

Q&A

1. What should I wear for my headshot or brandingsession?

Wear something that reflects your brand and makes you feel confident. Solid colors, classic styles, and well-fitted clothing work best. Avoid busy patterns and logos unless they are part of your brand.

2. Do you offer hair and makeup services?

Yes! I work with professional hair and makeup artists who specialise in natural, camera-ready looks.

3. Can I choose the location for my branding session?

Absolutely! You can have your session at my studio in The Kollective, which offers both plain backdrops and an office-style environment. I’m also happy to photograph you at a location that suits your brand, such as your office, a café, or outdoors.

4. I don’t like having my photograph taken, can you help me?

Yes definitely,  I help people feel confident, relaxed and natural in front of the camera.   It is not your job to know how to pose or stand, it’s my job to guide you into the most flattering of positions, find your best side … and to have some fun along the way.

5. Can I have different outfit changes during thesession?

Yes! Outfit changes are encouraged, especially for branding sessions, they help bring more variety into your images and give you more options when it comes to using the images.

6. How long does it take to receive my photos?

You’ll receive a proof gallery within 10 working days of your session.  If you are working to a deadline, please let me know and I can often accommodate.

7. Do you offer retouching?

Yes! I provide natural-looking retouching to enhance your images while keeping you looking like yourself. This includes skin smoothing, removing distractions, and adjusting lighting.

8. Can I use my photos for social media and marketing?

Of course! Your images are provided in both low and high-resolution - perfect for LinkedIn, websites, business cards, and social media…as well as billboards and print.

9. Do you offer group or team headshots?

Yes! I can photograph your entire team at my studio or at your workplace. Contact me for a custom quote based on the number of people and location.

10. How do I book a session?

You can book your session by directly through my website or drop me a message if you would like an alternative date, location, or individual quote.  I’ll guide you through the process and help you prepare for your shoot.
